Deacon John Peter Klein, 72, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Edgefield County Hospital.
Born in Queens, NY, he was the husband of Eileen Teresa Conboy Klein. He was a US Army Veteran. Deacon Klein was a banker for 27 years and a Catholic Deacon for 25 years. He was a Deacon for St. William's Catholic Church in Ward, St. Mary's in Edgefield and assisted when needed at The Lady of the Valley in Gloverville. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and served God.
The funeral was held at St. Williams on Tuesday June 28. Memorials may be made to St. William's Catholic Church.
One of Deacon John’s favorite phrases is “If God is the center of your life, no words will be needed. Your mere presence will touch their hearts.”
