Parish Membership: If you're new to the parish, please talk to Fr. Abbott or call the parish office for a registration form. Welcome to our parish family.
Active membership in St. Mary's parish is determined by three criteria: (1) being registered in the parish for a sufficient period of time, (2) faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days, and (3) the use of the envelope system in support of the parish.
Our Parish Needs You
“The best gift we can give to the Lord is ourselves”.
The parish is in great need of more parishioner participation. Below is a list of just some of the areas that need the gift of you.
Our parish needs:
• Lectors (to read at Mass)
• Altar servers (any person who has received 1st Eucharist)
• Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (any devoted adult catholic)
• CCD Teachers & Helpers (any catholic adult who is able to talk about their faith)
• RCIA Sponsors (any devoted adult catholic)
• People to visit the sick, and infirmed in nursing homes, etc.
• A person to welcome new families to the parish (we’re growing quickly...)
• A coordinator for funeral services to speak to the family about available options (scriptures, music, rosary at wake or in home, dinner after Mass, etc.)
• Musicians (if you play an appropriate instrument)
• Choir member
• Volunteers for funeral dinners (or cook a dish for a meal for the bereaved family)
• Launder and iron the alter linens
• Someone to keep order in the Hall’s kitchen & storage room
• New Ladies’ Club members
• Families to sponsor/serve at our Fellowship Sunday events (volunteer once a year)
• People to dust and vacuum the Church on a weekly basis (it’s God’s house!)
• People to dust, vacuum the Parish Hall on a weekly basis.
Our obligation to God does not begin and end with Sunday Mass. Our life as a Christian must be lived daily. You can bear fruit for Christ by volunteering your time and talent this year. Please contact the parish office if you're interesting in volunteering.
